More often than not, you are also going to need to prepare to add lights to the space if you are going to have the reception in the afternoon or evening hours. Be sure to consider all the extra light you will need to add to the space.

Get Creative with the Menu

Have your menu reflect your location. Add a lot of farm-fresh vegetables and dishes to your menu. Consider serving some BBQ food that reminds you of being on a farm. Consider hiring a food truck to cater your wedding, as your venue may not have a kitchen that a catering company can use. A food truck is a great alternative for your wedding as they bring their food prep with them, and a food truck fits in perfectly with the feeling of a barn wedding.
